71. MISERABLE
"You calm down!" Lu Yiming pulled down Lei Yi's hand. "Her abilities are of little use to others, but escaping is definitely not a problem. I saw her disappearing straight away. She should have turned into something to hide. I remember the location, I will go with you to find her after we settle down the Professor!"
Lu Yiming's words calmed Lei Yi. Right, there was no one better than Chu Youning in terms of survival ability, but thinking of her trusting and dependent eyes, Lei Yi panicked. He hadn't even noticed that something had happened to her until now. Would she ever be able to look at him with that look in the future?
Chu Youning waited until everyone was gone and there were only three or two zombies left before she came out from hiding. She was still not used to being a zombie again. After moving her arms and legs, she found a car that she could barely drive. After pulling out the corpse inside, Chu Youning sat in it.
Although she was forced to leave Lei Yi, but at least she did not die. As long as she returned to the team, Lei Yi's guilt for her would only increase, not decrease. From another perspective, it was a good thing.
Chu Youning had never been one to feel sorry about her own situation. People who mourn and pity themselves are the true weaklings. She never feels sad for how others treat her. That is the most useless emotion. She just has to think about how to find a way out of the disadvantages and maximize the benefits for herself.
If she wanted Lei Yi to be more guilty, then she can't be found so quickly or be delivered to the door by herself. So, the city ahead was the best choice. Although she had a bad feeling about it, she had no other option now.
Thankfully, the number of zombies here were significant enough that Gao Yang and the others have not eaten the city till date.
Chu Youning was kind of familiar with the place. So she found the mall and entered through the door. She did not encounter a single zombie on the way, which was a bit of a rarity.
After finding something to eat and having a quick bite, Chu Youning planned to explore the situation here again. After all, she had been away for so long, the ghost knows what big guys have come here again.
The last time Chu Youning was here, she ran the surveillance room, she didn't know if it was still running till now.
Fortunately, the surveillance was still working, it's just that the generator's condition had worsened even more, and she don't know how long it will last.
She ate her snacks skillfully while checking the surveillance cameras, frowning in confusion as she looked over them one by one. Why was there no zombies in the mall, it shouldn't be like that!
Just when she saw the familiar bedding area, she couldn't help but be dumbfounded. Those two rolling around on the bed looked a bit familiar!
One was that advanced mental-ability zombie, which she can understand, after all, she had a hunch before. But what about the other one... wasn't that the intelligent female zombie that they had encountered earlier? What were they doing? Making love?
The female zombie seemed to be a bit dazed, she should be controlled. And not surprisingly, it was the mental-ability of the advanced zombie.
The advanced zombie looked a little annoyed, and his actions were so rude that he accidentally yanked off an arm of the female zombie.
He stabbed the female zombie with his rod, but perhaps the female zombie's body was too stiff, he couldn't stabbed it in. Immediately after, he roared, and he stabbed the female zombie hard recklessly. And not only did he miss, he also broke the female zombie's bottom. And because of excessive force, both legs were ripped off.
Looking at the female zombie who was so arrogant a while ago becoming so miserable now, Chu Youning couldn't help but shiver!
Not right, where is this zombie's girlfriend? He had a hard time finding his girlfriend and finally got her back, how could he hang out with other zombies?
